  Churches are obviously a very personal and subjective thing. That being said, the membership of UCC Midland is very welcoming. It's very easy to make friends in this church and many within the church describe having a 'church family.' The church follows many aspects of the Bible, but incorporates social justice and progressive thinking. It's a church that practices what it preaches; "No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here." It should be noted that this UCC is open and affirming; meaning the church fully welcomes and accepts those who identify as LGBT.
